One of the many reasons why to protect rainforests is the fauna. Rainforests need to be protected because it houses 1/3 of the world's animals species. If we don't start to maintain rainforests many animal species will soon be extinct or endangered.
Amphibians, birds, insects, mammals, and worms are just a some of the different animal types that live in the forest and call it home. If we don't maintain rainforests theses animals could die and become endangered or extinct. Some animals are only found in rainforests and if their home is destroyed they will be extinct forever.
Some animals in the rainforest have already been been extinct or endangered and will never come back. Can you possibly imagine a world without spiders to scare people? No more ants that bite you? No more slow sloths? Below is a slideshow I have created and six small pictures I put together to make a big picture.
